Apparently, in Phnom Penh city, there are many local markets which all have spectacular taste of snack for selling. Even though there are a lot of varieties of snack, the most popular snack is the three sort of small animals which are cooked in different ways, and in different tastes of deliciousness.

Boiled snail (ខ្យងឬខ្ចៅស្ងោរ)

If you walk aside the local market, you will definitely see some sellers who carry maybe big type of baskets; inside the baskets, there are already boiled snails whose bodies are really huge. Then, the smell of those snails will be good. Moreover, most of them are tasted with chilly source whose sellers will be perfectly prepared with snails.

Fried crab (ក្តាមឆា)




Fried crab is not really seen often in local market; however, at Odong Mountain, this type of dish is really popular. Seen those fried crab, the mouth-watering will definitely appear on your face due to its good looking of red fried crab.

Furthermore, fried crab is basically sold out in the afternoon of the time with many tourists who enjoy tasting it so much, especially with rice as not only a snack, but also one type of delicious dish for lunch as well.

Dried clam​ (លៀសហាល)

The last one is dried clam; one of the most well-known snack which is sold out everywhere in Phnom Penh, especially in the dry season. Most of clams are perfectly come from a very nice mixed ingredients. After that, they are drying over the hot temperature of the sun. The taste of those dried clams are very delicious with little taste of spicy and salty.
